DJ Dave Bats

Residing in Los Angeles (US)

DJ Residency:

* Release the Bats (US)

Dave Bats is a twenty-year veteran of the Los Angeles Deathrock scene. Producer of the most famous nightclub event in the universe, Release The Bats, and bass player for such bands as Element, STG, and Kommunity FK throughout the 1990’s to present. He began DJing in 1989 at an all ages Gothic club in his hometown of Long Beach California simply because “all the other DJ’s weren’t spinning what we wanted to hear though it was kind of hard to go dance”. Since then he has spun his web of ‘Gloom & Doom’ at clubs and events all over the US and abroad. Lace up your dancing boots – you never know what this guy will pull out of his bag of tricks!

DJ Noah K - ?Pasadena/Hollywood/ NoHo, CA

"Hey aren't you that Bats Day guy?!?"

Yes it is I. Will I be able to DJ my own event this year? Will I tear my own hair out? Will I do open heart surgery on myself live on stage while dancing the hully gully? I guess we shall see now wont we. You will be in for something definitely different, ... I hope.

Spooky, Kookie, Creepy. Those are 3 words that have followed Noah K his whole life. A native to California, growing up in the San Fernando Valley, Noah K has been Djaying and running events since the late 80's. Noah's loves cartoons, old horror movies, weird stock footage film, Bats, Oingo Boingo, Day of the Dead art, gargoyles and Disneyland's Haunted Mansion.

DJ Neshamah - San Jose, CA

Referred to as the Grandmother or the Godmother of industrial, Neshamah was been the Northern California goth, industrial, trance, and punk scenes for years, making her first appearance as a bouncer in a punk club. In early 1994, she moved from being the hostess to being a dj. After a start with old skool punk and deathrock, she moved into industrial, techno, fusion, and almost any type of music that you can think of. Her eclectic sound has taken her all over the world, placed her on the airwaves of the FM dial, and has given her the title as one of the craziest djs you will ever hear. (Especially in 2001 when she broke six dj world’s records in one shoot: longest live air shift by a single dj; youngest person to attempt; first college radio station to attempt; first “true” alternative attempt; longest live internet feed of mixing; and first woman to attempt with 103 hours, (even though Guinness never registered the event).

Neshamah was also one of the first club djs to make the jump from the decks to the silver screen. She was picked up almost right off the decks and placed in front of the camera in the forthcoming film, “The Last,” which will be out in 2007. And there are even more films on the way ("Choices" from Ballywood and the short film "Death and Taxes"). She even had one of her soundtracks, "The Last", at Festival de Cannes.

DJ MIGHTY MIKE SAGA - Philadelphia PA

www.mikesaga.com // www.headcaserecordings.com //

www.myspace.com/mikesaga

Back in 1988, at the age of 11, Mike Saga first heard "Rigor Mortis" by A Split Second. Little did he know at the time that a song he heard in his youth on a local Texas college radio station would change his perspective on music forever. Electronic music became a driving force in his life. From the raves and clubs he religiously attended in his late teenage years to the parties he promoted and organized in his early 20's, the love of music and the need to share that love with anyone that would listen led to his inevitable career as a DJ. Mike Saga started out in late 2002 as a 80's DJ playing and collecting 80's Records. He opened up at

raves and played at house parties or anywhere that he could have the opportunity to move a crowd.

By 2003 he was asked to perform at Philadelphia's infamous Gothic/Industrial multimedia fetish event "SHOCK THERAPY.” Ever diligent to expand his horizons, he began collecting a variety of electronic styles (ebm, darkwave, terror ebm, synthpop etc.) Patiently he taught him self the art of beat matching and mixing these forms of music into his sets and by 2005 he was offered a residency at "SHOCK THERAPY.“ Attaining a good reputation and the

freedom to express himself creatively he began

organizing events fusing EDM commonly played at raves with Gothic / Industrial music. The "FULL MOON GATHERING" and "C.H.U.D" events of late 2005 are still fondly remembered by many as a huge success in bringing people from many musical tastes and backgrounds together in harmony.

Opening new ears to the gothic /industrial sound

caught the attention of a number of promoters. To his credit and honor he has performed at "DRACULA'S BALL,” the largest Gothic / Industrial event in Philadelphia and he usually plays weekly at Philly's longest running gothic / industrial/80's alternative night "NOCTURNE." He is also featured in NYC frequently at the "SMack!" , MotherFucker and "Byte" Parties, and went on to

play the "BLACK SUN FESTIVAL II" in New Haven Connecticut Last year. These are merely the

highlights...

Expect to hear industrial // EBM dance floor anthems, and don't expect to be sitting either during his set. Bats Day here comes

Voodoo - San Francisco, CA

Voodoo has been spinning records (yep, records was all we had back then) for over twenty years, since 1985 when he created the first all gothic club night in Santa Barbara CA. Voodoo has appeared at Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Whitby Gothic Weekend, Convergence, Black Sun, Dracula’s Ball, and as a guest DJ at Gothic/Industrial clubs around the world. Currently he can be found in residence at House of Voodoo in San Francisco, and as the house DJ for Oh My Godard Galleries. Voodoo spins a mixture of deathrock, gothic rock, classic industrial, electro and eighties, with a twist of glam thrown in for flava. Voodoo loves to play requests, especially when they are accompanied by Jack Daniels.
